AnchorBird: A Collaborative Wecomic

Thu Jun 4, 2009, 10:58 AM
Wild & Uncouth

Hello Peoples,

You may or may not know, but I am an active participant in Scott Ewen's :iconscottewen: "Never-Ending StripJam! over on PencilJack [link]
The way the StripJam works is this- Each artist gets to contribute one panel at a time to tell a completely improvised storyline. Nothing is written out beforehand.
It's a bit hectic and a lot of fun, and it really helps you hone your creative retconning skills as you try to tie all the crazy plot threads together that people dream up.
it is open to anyone that wants to participate!

SO.

After almost 150 panels of StripJam goodness (almost there!), Scott decided it was time to take the collaborative comic strip jam to the next logical level.

With the editorial assistance of fellow StripJam contributors Oscar Padilla :iconscadilla: and myself, we have started the Never-Ending Webcomic Jam!

The Webcomic is now officially being called "AnchorBird," after the name given to the protagonist early on in the storyline (in my half page, no less!). The comic has just started, so if you want to jump on for the ride now would be the perfect time.

To go read the storyline thus far, head on over to anchorbird.blogspot.com

PEACE!

-Karl

this is my favorite picture to date.
That's so funny that you saw this just now!
I fav'd it a while ago, and yesterday it showed up in my random favorites box.

So I printed it out on the printer at work, then I hung it up on my fridge when I got home last night!

It's something I would like to look at pretty-much daily.
I don't have anything against Barack, of course.

I just really enjoy the style of the piece, the wrinkles on Barack's suit, the blur effect is used SO appropriately it's unreal, and The Boondocks is awesome (I finally decided).

Rock on!
it's really funny because there was a whole episode about uncle ruckus throwing bricks at martin luther king jr.
Watch every last drop of this:

it's so tight! shit's made out of laffy taffy!
Awesome, as is your video game appearance.

I got the same call when GTA3 was released on the ps2 (at the time I was rarely seen NOT wearing green cargo pants, a black jacket, blue vans, and the same haircut).

But at least your guy has a voice, albeit with an accent a few hundred miles south of your neck of the woods.
